Brand Fearless supports Safe Futures & #ProtectOurPets Campaign

This morning we attended the Safe Futures Light the Way Breakfast  at the Latitude 41 Restaurant & Tavern in Mystic, CT.  We are proud to be part of their campaign #ProtectOurPets. We are raising funds to pilot a program that will help people leaving an abusive situation find a safe place for their pets. These funds will help us #ProtectOurPets by:

* Creating a “seed fund” for necessary medical care, routine or otherwise;
* Providing collars and tags to help protect the confidentiality of the pets in our care;
* Providing toys, food and litter for our foster homes; and
* Assisting with other start-up costs.

Domestic violence victims face many barriers on the road to safety. One major barrier is concern for their pets, who are often left with the abuser simply because many shelters cannot accommodate .
